Long before Ischia became a fashion house, it was a lesson passed from a grandfather to his granddaughter.

Miranda Miguel, founder and creative director of Ischia, grew up deeply inspired by her grandfather, affectionately known as "El Nono." Born in Italy, he worked as a hairstylist in the coastal town of Formia, where he spent his life helping women feel confident through beauty.

One day, he shared words that would shape Miranda's life forever.

"To understand women and make them happy, you need one thing. Help women see the beauty they already have…”

But then he explained what truly mattered.

Beauty was never about changing who someone was. It was about revealing what was already there. Whether he changed a woman's haircut or hair color, his goal was always the same: to preserve her essence, respect her uniqueness, and highlight her natural beauty rather than replace it.

Those words stayed with Miranda.
